SINGAPORE – Keppel Shipyard has won four contracts with a combined value of around S$120 million ($89 million) from repeat customers.
One involves installation and integration of topsides modules for the newbuild FPSO thatBW Offshore is providing for Premier Oil’s Catcher field in the UK central North Sea.
The second contract, from SOFEC, calls for fabrication of an internal turret mooring system for a floating storage and offloading vessel that will operate on Maersk Oil’sCulzean field in the same sector. Work on the turret is expected to be completed in 3Q 2017.
For Woodside Energy, Keppel will modify and upgrade theFPSONgujima-Yin for the Greater Enfield Project offshore Western Australia. The scope includes marine and hull life extension and refurbishment works; installation of a new water flood module, turret risers and a power/control module; and modifications to the swivel system and marine and topsides-related piping.
Detailed engineering should begin shortly, with construction work set to start in 2Q 2018.
Finally, Keppel will perform upgrades to the pipelay vesselCastorone for Saipem.
Castorone is already berthed at Keppel Shipyard and the program should be completed during the current quarter. The work scope includes replacement of switchboards to improve the power distribution systems; renewal works on 45 km (28 mi) of electrical cables; pipelay system upgrades; and construction of new water ballast tanks and conversion of old ones into fuel oil tanks.
